What is New 2020 Alternate Position Views

With SolidWorks 2020, you can use Alternate Position View to overlay two configurations of a part in a single view.

The two configurations must already exist in the part model before you create the alternate position view.

To create alternate position views for parts:

Create a view of the part;

Select the view and click Alternate Position View;

Choose the configuration you want for the Alternate Position View;

Click OK, and the Alternate Position View is completed;

You can also change the configuration you want to use for the Alternate Position View by simply right click the Alternate Position View in the FeatureManager Design Tree and click Edit Feature.
