Beginning with SOLIDWORKS 2020, Solidworks stopped distributing DVD media. It will now only be provided on request.
There are a few different ways to Download the Solidworks installation files
1. If you already have Solidworks installed on your machine you can use the “check for updates” option. This will be an available program under the Solidworks installation manager folder.
Alternatively you can also get to the “check for updates” within the Solidworks program.
Go to Help-> Check for updates. Remember after selecting this to close Solidworks down before proceeding with your installation.
2. You can download Solidworks through the Solidworks customer portal. Go to solidworks.com and log in. If you don’t have an account, you can create one using your serial number. If you have any issue creating an account contact us at support@intercad.com.au with a screen shot of the error and your serial number.
After logging into the Solidworks customer portal go to “download and updates”.
Here you can either select “Solidworks products “ of the particular service pack or you can download a full media kit by selecting “SOLIDWORKS MEDIA (1 of 2 and 2 of 2)”
3. A third option is available if you have issues downloading through the Solidworks customer portal and that is a Hightail link. Central innovation maintains a library of installation media on a Hightail account. You can send a request to support@intercad.com.au and request a download link. This will be a link to the full media kit so it will be a much larger download than using the “check for updates” or customer portal method.

After successful completion of the form you will get an email from solidworks@dsgraphics.com confirming that they will ship your requested media kit.
