eDrawings 2017 Enhancements.
With the new release of eDrawings, there are some useful enhancements in both the free version and the Professional version which is included with SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium.
Additional file formats are now supported and can be opened
- STEP AP242
- IGES
- CATIA® V5
- Autodesk® Inventor™
- 3DXML
Open files read-only
In Tools > Options, on the General tab, select Open files read-only.
When selected, this option also selects the Open as read-only option in the Open dialog box. Clearing the option in the Open dialog box does not affect the option in the Options dialog box
Password Protection available on the free Edrawings viewer version.
The free version of eDrawings now supports password-protected files. Previously this functionality was limited to eDrawings Professional.
