If you want to link an element like a wall, column, beam, stair, railing or an object to a certain elevation in the drawing (in 2D) and you are not sure about the elevation or if you want to do it fast an efficient without modifying the settings (Elevation over a reference line), you can use the gravity tool for it.
Just select the element to be placed, then click on the gravity tool and select where will be placed, into a Roof, Shell, Slab or Mesh.
In the case or the wall, beams or railings, this will be placed to the first point that touches the Slab or the Mesh.
Gravity tool is part of the “Standard” toolbar that can be found in Window>Toolbars>Standard, in the 3D window, the elements will link to the proper elevation in the mesh without the gravity tool.
