How to Control DWG Files’ Attributes in EPDM

Can EPDM control DWG/DXF files attributes using file Datacards the same way as with Solidworks File custom properties?

First, In the DWG file and in your title block you should have attributes that reflect the drawing information e.g. (Description, Part Number, Drawn by, …  etc.)

Make sure that the attribute’s name is the same as the EPDM variable name in the DataCard

e.g. Attribute name in the in DWG = Description

        DataCard variable name = Description

Then the next step, also in your DWG drawing, creates a block for these attributes. The block name should be the same as the variable attribute in EPDM.

e.g. Block name =   DWG_TITLEBLOCK

Variable Attribute in EPDM = DWG_TITLEBLOCK

Now the DataCard values will be updated in your DWG title block.
