Weldments Global variable

Hi There,

Today I would like to talk about a rarely used feature in SolidWorks

We are all familiar with weldments and cultists however when it comes adding new Properties to the cutlist, it can be a little bit too hard.

When we have simple structures with 3 or 4 structural members? Easy.

But what if you have 100 structural members?

There is an easier way.

Close the Cutlist property manager.

Now right click on the weldment icon in the feature tree and choose properties.

This opens up the Weldment custom property window.

Add the property accordingly

This will add this information to all the structural members.

Be wary that deleting the property from the weldment custom property window does not remove the property from the cutlist.
