What to Do if You Get a Blank SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager.

Did you request installation files from your VAR and get a blank installation manager when you try to install? This is due to automatic encryption from cloud bases services such as Hightail, drop box, etc.…
There is an easy fix to this. Follow the steps given below to get the installation options displayed on installation manager.
Step 1: Close the blank window. Then delete folder that you extracted from the zip file
NOTE: Do not delete the original zip file.
Step 2: RMB on the zip file and go to ‘Properties’
Step 3: Select ‘Unblock’, ‘Apply’ then select ‘Ok’. This will unblock the zip file.
Step 4: RMB on the zip file and select to ‘Extract All…’
Step 5: Once all files have been extracted, RMB on the ‘Setup.exe’ and select ‘Run as administrator’. If the option to run as an ‘Administrator’ is not available, double click to launch the installation manager.
Finally, the installation manager will appear with all installation options available
