How to Thrive During the Evolution of Manufacturing

Let’s face it, change is inevitable and as humans, we can either embrace it or run from it.  With the release of the 2016 Australian Jobs publication by the Department of Employment, and the fourth industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 upon us, it is clear the workforce is rapidly changing.

In this new phase of collaboration, where machines interact intelligently with the physical world, organisations in the manufacturing sector are looking for a greater range of engineering skills.  As Kevin Dutoit, Engineering Manager, Faiveley Transport, points out –  engineering jobs are still greatly in demand, but the type of expertise required is shifting and there are things workers can do now to prepare for this transformative change.
