Curved roofs made easy with the Shell Tool

Every so often it may be necessary to create a curved roof, whether it is a simple vault, or something more complicated. The Shell Tool is perfect for this.

To make a complex linear curve, we set the Shell tool to Extruded geometry and Detailed construction:

Then we can use the standard drawing mode to create our complex curve in the Plan View:

Once that is done, we open a Section or Elevation View and rotate the element into an upright position:

Then we are left with our curved Roof:
