Change Sketchup Furniture 2d Display in Archicad
  1. Download a SketchUP furniture (2019 version).

2. Merge it to Archicad (File > Interoperability > Merge > Merge from File).

You can stop it here if you are happy with the floor plan display of your imported object. But if you want, you can change it to the 2D display.

3. Select the new furniture that you placed and go to File > Libraries and Objects > Open Object.

4. Delete the 2D data.

5. Open the 2D symbol and paste a picture (you might need to resize it Ctrl + K / Command +K) and/or draw the new 2D display for the imported furniture (do not forget to use hotspots as well).

6. Save that new object to your Embedded Library (just those elements keep here which is project specific, try to keep this library small, and export these new object to one of your Linked library).
