If you want to show Contour lines in 3D go to View>3D View Options>3D Window Settings, set Contours to Draft or Best.
NOTE: Contour Lines in ArchiCAD are not ‘ground’ contour lines, they are the lines that define the shape of an object – ‘it’s contours’.
