ARCHICAD Files Types

What type of files can ARCHICAD work with?

Common Files Types. http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/?p=46860#

.pln are your Solo Projects files and are the main native document type of ArchiCAD.

.bpn Backup Project files, will allow you to recover the last saved version of a damaged project file.

.pla Archive files are similar to Solo Projects, but these include all the library parts, background images and linked textures used in the Project, not just references to them. (Good idea to save an archive file once the project is finished.)

.tpl Project Templates. This should be the format you save your office template.

.mod Hotlinked Modules allow you to insert the contents of external ArchiCAD files.

Other CAD formats .dxf, .dwg, .dwf, .dgn

Images .bmp, .dib, .rle, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif, .gif, .tif, .tiff, .png, .hdr
