Ideally when placing Doors and Windows you may wish to place to exact ASNZ Standards as you model. For example AS 1428.1 states that the edge of the door can be no closer than 110mm to an adjacent wall.
You can place a door or window into a wall using exact numerical value.
Select Between Nodes from the Snap Guide Tool on the Standard Tool Bar
Select the Door tool > Hover in the intersection of the walls and wait for the blue reference circle to appear.
Without clicking, Drag the door in the general direction required > Select “D” from the keyboard, this brings up numerical imput.
Enter the correct number and finalise.
