PMK files, also known as Plotmaker Files are commonly used to manage an external layout book when the model is created across multiple PLN files.
This, alternate method allows you to place drawings into a layout book using an offline file rather than linking live from another Archicad or Teamwork file. The advantage here is that updating drawings or browsing the layout book does not require additional instances of Archicad to be opened.
