Save Your Work!

While Archicad does have its own autosave system, it is not foolproof and will only provide a recovery file in the event of a crash. If you exit Archicad without saving, your work is gone!

This is why you should get into the habit of saving regularly. You can save your project quickly using a keyboard shortcut; ctrl + S on Windows, and cmd⌘ + S on macOS. Try and remember to do this any time you finish a task, or go off to take a break.
